An Autumn Pause

An Afternoon Retreat with your choice of three dates and locations this season: Manitoulin Island, Guelph and Live Online

It is so easy to fall into the trap of pushing yourself to keep producing.

But, the autumn season invites us to pause and harvest the good in our lives.

Nature shows us the importance of living in cycles. Just as gardens offer up their abundance and trees drop their leaves, we too are invited to learn the practice of receiving and letting go.

It is a time to pause, take stock of all you have received and experienced over the warmer months, and allow that harvest to integrate into your life and body. By honouring what has ripened, you also create the space to recognize what is no longer needed, and release, just like the falling leaves, as we move toward the colder months.

An Autumn Pause Afternoon Retreat is your opportunity to align with this cycle of autumn. We will come together in circle and ritual to reflect, share and walk the forest as we prepare our mind and body for the colder months ahead.

This retreat is an open, inclusive space welcoming all genders and identities to come together, reflect, and share in seasonal community.

What to Expect

The afternoon will journey through an arc of intentional somatic and nature connection invitations and ritual:

  • Safe Space Ritual: We will start by intentionally co-creating the conditions needed in circle to support safe reflection and authentic sharing.

  • Wonder Walk: A guided somatic sensory forest walk designed to get you out of your head and safely into your body as you connect with the earth’s autumn transition.

  • Solo Nature Connection: Time to reflect on the gifts received from the summer months as you spend time with the forest.

  • Inner Harvest Reflection & Sharing: Honour what you have received and experienced, and speak your harvest out loud to be witnessed in community.

  • Reflective Writing: A guided prompt to help you harvest your personal wisdom, integrate what you’ve experienced, and find clarity on what you are ready to let go.

  • Letting Go Ritual: A practice to release what is no longer needed, using the wisdom of the falling leaves to clear space before entering the colder months ahead.

Meet your Guide

Angela weaves together her experience as a Registered Psychotherapist and Somatic Experiencing Practitioner with her training in Ceremony for Rites of Passage. She creatively crafts an intentional journey arc that prioritizes nervous system awareness, holding space for your body so you can move safely into inner reflection and sacred ritual, that results in a deeper relationship with your body, nature and community.

Angela brings playfulness, authenticity, and openness to both life and facilitation. Grounded in the values of agency and choice, she creates a warm space for you to tune into your body’s subtle language and let your internal wisdom guide your journey.

"Angela, with her beautiful, warm energy, creates a space that feels like a call to ritual.  A space that holds and guides you on a journey back to yourself.  The experience has stayed with me and I am grateful to have had the opportunity to work with her." Past Retreatant

“I had a beautiful afternoon at Angela’s retreat in the forest.
